Olympic warm up...

BMX Racing makes its debut in the Olympics tonight [well, this morning 2 am onwards on BBC1]. So to celebrate the fact, I thought I would post a little treat. For those who dont know, this is from the movie 'Rad' and its nuts!

Back Bone...

Australia has a serious trails scene, and some heavy hittin trails riders [Bohan, White, Searls, Stead etc!]. So when Darin went out and stayed with these guys last winter, questions were asked about Segment. Rhysty the main man, who also runs Back Bone BMX got in touch, and I am proud to say that Back Bone are Segments first overseas stockist!! 

Rhysty is the best guy, his store is dialled, his website keeps you up to date with all things trails, he supports an amazing scene and wherever you are in the world, its always worth a look.

Matt Priest 'cover'age...

Segments first cover!! - yeah Matt.

Yep, the Ride to Glory issue of Ride UK is out now, and as Volume were the winners, they had the pleasure of featuring on this months cover. Its not your regular run of the mill BMX mag cover, as its shows a few of the guys at once, but Matt is all up in that piece...and repping Segment!!

Pump, pump, pump, pump it up....

Over the last year, the Segment family has made a number of friends from all around the world. Falling into the friends bracket are the guys over at Sasquatch Canyon. They all ride, they have fun and they write about on their blog, which is cool. While checking out the blog, I stumbled across a little project that the guys are up to...and it looks nuts!

I personally love to ride little fun, pump tracks, and this [once its complete] looks just that...fun!!

Best or worst site ever?..

We all know that there are a million and one BMX websites out there [mine included], so when you stumble across something a little different, its refreshing [good or bad - is up to you]. 

SPRFLS is one of those sites, and I actually quite like it [I appreciate a bit of humour within BMX]. No pivotal seat is safe, no tailwhip is unwhipped and all opinions [well at least SPRFLS's one] are out in the open.....so you can understand my concerns when the 'Trails is Shouting' tee appeared on its blog. But all was good, and its almost a gold star of approval next to your product if SPRFLS hasnt found anything bad to write about it. Phew!!

Shouting is popular...

When we decided to create the 'Trails is Shouting' tee, we were never quite sure to how it would be welcomed. Well we are now very very sure, as the first batch of tees flew out the door, with orders from local trail riders, to visiting US pros!

At present we have 1 x Small left in the store, with a possible second Ltd Ed run in the works. [first come, first served for the Small one left!]. Contact me if you want more....ill leave the decision up to you [just ordered more Smalls and Mediums - supply on demand!].

Murray Jam Flyer....

This years Stephen Murray Jam is almost upon us. Held at the infamous Alianos trails [open to the public for one weekend only], please try to attend to witness amazing riding, good food, hundreds of prizes and all in the name of BMX community.

Empire Dirty highlights...

Empire of Dirt highlight vid, with a mix and match of the best bits....including Scott Edgworth and Brian Fosters over/under wall ride attempt. Possibly one of the most nuts things seen at Empire, or on any 16ft high wallride!!!

Segment trip - Pt 2...

Sorry for the lack of updates this week, but finding wifi in the woods proved pretty tricky! Hopefully the below pics will keep you going for a little while, at least until I can update the site from 'party cam' [definitely watch this space!]....

A good time was had and many thanks go out to the team and family that came along, as well as all the trail keepers that let us ride their spots...was a treat!
